Is it easy to install?
Full instructions on how to install your new wall aquarium is included in the box. Installation is a simple process which takes around an hour to complete. These tanks can be installed on almost any sort of wall including brick, concrete or gyprock/stud walls.

Basically your tank is mounted to the wall in a similar way to hanging your plasma television on the wall. Each of the steel brackets included in the kit are first installed into wall using two wall plugs and a dynabolt (three heavy duty screws if it is a stud wall). The tank simply sits on brackets with one screw in the base of each bracket and a clip on the top. Once installed and full of water the aquariums generally don’t way much more than a plasma television of the same size. As a general rule it works out to be roughly 20kg per bracket. Installation is designed to be a simple process however if you are not confident installing your aquarium please seek assistance from an experienced handyman.

Can they be installed on Gyprock or Stud walls?
We and our customers regularly install tanks on gyprock walls. The secret is to locate the “studs”, or wooden posts that are spaced out regularly behind the plasterboard. These studs can be located either by using a stud finder machine, or the old fashioned technique of tapping the walls to hear the more solid noise that indicates wood. Then you can mount your brackets directly onto the wood, and so the gyprock itself doesn’t take any load. The brackets on our tanks can be moved sideways along the tanks so that the spacing will match the spacing of the studs in your walls.

What types of fish are suitable for these aquariums?
Our tanks are suitable for most smaller varieties of freshwater and tropical fish. For best visual effect and easy maintenance we recommend a good balance of compatible tropical varieties. If you get a good mix of fish that feed from the surface as well as of the base of the tank (algae eaters) taking care of these tanks is a breeze. We recommend you look for fish varieties that are generally 5-6cm or less in length.
